Landing of the first British Airways (Formerly known as British Overseas Airways Corporation 'BOAC') aircraft, chartered by a pearl merchant from Baghdad to Bahrain following a one-night stop in Basra. Even for this relatively short flight, an overnight stop in Basra was required.
